Plaza del Torro
In every city of Spain, big and small, there is always a Plaza del Torro, an arena to watch bullfighting , a Spanish tradition dating back to 711 A.D. Like many other young Spaniards, I myself am not in favour of the merciless killing of these animals for entertainment. However, the arenas can sometimes be a spectacular architectural sight and even more importantly, a landmark to help find the homes of hosts located nearby. Such was the case in La Linea and once again in Valencia, my last stop in Spain.
...and when a bull is alone and separated from his herd, he is unpredictable and will have a tendency to charge at you. For this reason, this photo was shot from a car window.
