Petals and Drops

Sevilla and Cordoba are two cities located in the Andalucia region of Spain where, due to its location in the south, summer temperatures are unbearably high. The architecture and design of homes reflect this climate with inner courtyards or patios that provide a shaded area for an afternoon siesta.
A main reason for my visit to Cordoba was the chance to visit some of these patios that are specially open to the public. But the tourist attraction turned not only to be a mere flower competition between home owners, but also a disappointment.
