Beautiful Family

Enroute through Taounate, we stumbled upon this family who were kind and generous, genuinely interested in meeting strangers from afar.

While their 6 year old daughter (her picture can be seen in Enrique's blog) kept watch on our motorbike by the roadside, they welcomed us into their home and insisted on serving us a meal of crepes, olives; bread, cake and coffee.

Unfortunately, although we were invited to spend our entire vacation at their home, the time came to say goodbye.

After numerous encounters with locals who would not hesitate to stop and and say without shame, "Give me Dirham", our time with this beautiful Moroccan family was a welcome change. To hear peals of laughter when their photo is taken, as well as my opportunity to personally help to make crepes in their kitchen, it was a more than positive way to end the day.
