Arrival in Morocco

After 2 days of hard travel in rain and strong winds that almost blew us off our bike, we finally arrived at the Moroccan border to be faced with a two hour wait to get our immigration stamp. The border had been previously described to me as chaotic with hustlers who would come from all direction to help but not without some kind of payment in return. But in fact, patience was all that we needed at this point to get the proper paperwork required to get us and our bike into the country (2.5 hours).

The most difficult thing was to watch the local people get herded through a fenced in area as they return to their home country from Spain with their goods on their backs. Those who were thought of as suspicious were actually attacked and beaten by the local police as they tried to protect their goods. Of course no photos were allowed in this border control zone.

Once we got through, it was yet another unbelievable gusty ride to Chefchaouen. So we had to stop occasionally for a break and take photos.
