Hosting in Toronto

I started hosting travellers through Couchsurfing on my return from Europe. It was time to return the generosity I had experienced myself during my time abroad. Each surfer was unique and interesting and showed me a different Toronto through their eyes. Even with many differences in interests, we still had one thing in common: being open and respectful to one another, and willingness to share and learn.

Enrique a.k.a Pato (Vigo, Spain), June 2-5 http://7cero.blogspot.com/

He's mastered the art of making me smile and laugh non-stop with stories, insights and lullabys. If you would like the same experience and more, read his blog.

Dane (Sydney, Australia), June 14-17

My Australian friend tells me that all Aussies are rude and crass like himself. Dane proves him wrong.

Amy (Shefield, England), June 30-July 1, July 8 http://amynowell.blogspot.com/

At 5ft1, it was my pleasure to look up to 6ft2 Amy with respect, laughter and friendship.

Shailoh and Sultan (Amsterdam, Netherlands), July 2

The day Shailoh and Sultan arrived, I watched my neighbour's two year old son get hit by a car. Their genuine spirit and good company turned my terrible day into a better one.

Louis (Chicago, U.S. A), July 21-23.

I loved that he brought his own bike, wanted to see CasaLoma and almost had me up the CN tower.
